Janko Guzijan, State Secretary

Born in Belgrade in 1978. He graduated from Belgrade Math gymnasium, and in 2001 from the Faculty of Economics, Belgrade University, where he also received his MA in 2005.

Since September 2001, he was employed as Teaching Assistant at the Belgrade Faculty of Economics, and from December 2001 he served as UNDP Consultant in the Ministry of Finance.

In November 2002, he was appointed Assistant Minister for Macroeconomic and Fiscal Analyses at the Ministry of Finance, and as of June 2004 he worked as a Special Advisor to the International Monetary Fund in Serbia.

In May 2007, he became State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance. He is responsible for the following departments: macroeconomics, tax and customs system, budget, budget audit and foreign exchange inspectorate.

He is married. Speaks fluent English.
