Department of Macroeconomic and Fiscal Analyses and Projections

The Department of Macroeconomic and Fiscal Analyses and Forecasting is responsible for research and analytical activities related with:

• preparation and design of the Memorandum on the Budget and Economic and Fiscal Policy for the following three-year period;
• preparation and design of Economic and Fiscal Program, that is the Pre-Accession Economic Program for the medium-term period;
• preparing analyses of macroeconomic and fiscal trends;
• preparing medium-term forecast for macroeconomic and fiscal aggregates and indicators;
• preparing the Public Finance Bulletin in both Serbian and English;
• defining macroeconomic and fiscal assumptions for budget preparation;
• forecasting for public revenues, public expenditure and deficit/surplus, and resources to cover the deficit or use the surplus;
• preparing consolidated balance sheet of public expenditure in the Republic of Serbia;
• analyzing macroeconomic and fiscal impact of legal and other documents that define measures of economic and fiscal policy;

The Department of Fiscal and Macroeconomic Analyses and Projections executes its tasks within two specialized internal units:
- Group for Fiscal Analyses and Forecasting
- Group for Macroeconomic Analyses, Forecasting and Structural Reforms
