The inflation will certainly not get out of control – Serbian Minister of Finance Mirko Cvetkovic told Novosti. – It may be one or two percents above the plan, but this was caused by the draught, as you may already know. The draught resulted in soaring prices of agricultural and food products in the region and beyond.

The Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, however, persistently mentions the “core inflation” increase influenced by the Government...

The core inflation, which is a result of successful monetary and fiscal policy measures, as well as of the wage policy, is still low and it will almost certainly remain within the planned framework.
