Dr Slobodan Ilić, State Secretary
Born in Mladenovac on 14 November 1959. Completed primary and high school in Valjevo. Graduated from the Faculty of Economy, Belgrade, where he also received his MA and PhD. In 2004 he defended his PhD thesis “Interdependency of Property Transformation of Companies and Development of Capital Market”.
With a scholarship of the Italian Government, he completed graduate studies at the SIST international school in Rome in 1991. At the invitation of the USAID, in 1998 he attended the U.S. Financial System course within the International Visitor program.
Mr. Ilic managed development of many projects in the area of privatization, finances and development.
He teaches financial markets at the Business School for Professional Studies in Valjevo. He published several professional and academic papers about financial markets and privatization.
He is currently the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and professor at the Business School for Professional Studies in Valjevo.
Married to Slavica. Father of two sons – Aleksa and Andrej.
