Foreign Exchange Inspectorate

Foreign Exchange Inspectorate, an administrative body within the Ministry of Finance, was created by the Law on Foreign Exchange Operations (Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 62/06).

The Foreign Exchange Inspectorate executes its competences via Control Department and Misdemeanor and Administrative Department.

Control Department monitors implementation of regulations related with foreign trade of goods and services and engages in activities abroad concerning foreign exchange and foreign trade operations.

Misdemeanor and Administrative Department manages misdemeanor proceedings of first instance for misdemeanors that violate regulations related with foreign exchange and foreign trade and decides in administrative proceedings.

Seat of the Foreign Exchange Inspectorate is in Belgrade.

Local Foreign Exchange Inspectorate units in Novi Sad and Nis also engage in direct inspection and activities related with misdemeanor and administrative proceedings.
